This lovely brown female is one of the last offspring of the late, great Studmaster male El Toro. Like her famous sire, Liani has the ideal phenotype that huacaya breeders love--full coverage from head to toe, strong top knot and covered cheeks, and strong bold square frame. She is not just lovely on the outside though, she carries some terrific genetics as well. On her maternal side is probably the most noted grey herdsire in the history of the US, Danko from Alpacas de la
Patagonia! And for this, she is a dream alpaca for those hoping to produce grey
cria. With all her maternal relatives being grey she should
be capable of producing grey when bred to the right male.
In
addition to these superb grey genetics, she can include genetics from the noted
PPPeruvian Yupanqui a full Accoyo and the number one male pick in the
1995 Five Star Peruvian Importation. Yupanqui, quechua for
"unforgettable", is known for producing cria that are just that. They
are known to be extremely fine, dense, crimpy and bright. Add in El Toro's genetics for superb fineness, coverage and uniformity, you get one dynamite girl.
Liani is definitely a femme fatale deserving of all of her
ancestors acclaim! What a face and presence! With long-lashed almond
eyes and soft, lustrous, fleece. Milena is a soft, fine dark brown with
very nice density. Liani's fleece when opened shows a rich dark
fleece that glistens.
Liani's parents are both impressive alpacas and her sire, El Toro is a known producer of champions. El Toro was imported to the US late in life and therefore has less cria on the ground than other males of his age and reputation. With her sire now deceased, she presents a rare opportunity to gain access to his exceptional genes. You can learn more about Liani's dam and sire
by clicking on the corresponding tabs above.
Liani is to be bred to our champion Studmaster male Cannonero in June 2009 for a delivery in May 2010.
