Peboona is a gorgeous light fawn female out of StudMaster Male El Toro
and Ambiance. She appears to be the perfect mix of her dam and sire,
with consistent fine crimpy fleece from head to toe. Her features are
striking, confirmation strong, and it is easy to see her fleece's
bundling quality, fineness, and outstanding crimp. She proved her fine quality in her class at the New England Coastal
Classic in the Fall of 2007, where she won 2nd place and praise from the judge for her solid conformation and consistent, fine crimpy fleece.
Keeping up with our traditions at Abenaqui Alpacas, all alpacas
born to our farm receive names based upon the Abenaqui language,
Peboona is no exception. Peboona (pronounced peb-oo-oo-na) is an
Abenaqui word meaning the 'winter that is gone'. She was incidentally
born in the early spring. We call her Pep which is true to her
character.
