There is no question that Don Julio Barreda's Estancia Accoyo has
produced particularly dramatic suri alpacas. They have been homozygous
for the dominant suri gene. They portray size, solid bone, greasy
luster, and regal presence. Accoyo's Tiago Primo is no exception. He is
a proud and regal alpaca with a gorgeous, deep-muzzled macho head. He
shows off that greasy Accoyo luster from head to tail to toe in a
tightly penciled, thick-locked suri fleece. He is an exceptional
example of the Accoyo genetics that produce beautiful suris on alpaca
ranches all over the U.S.
Accoyo Tiago Primo, like his famous sire, Accoyo Santiago, has a perfect
record for producing suri offspring, across a very wide spectrum of
dams. And for both of these outstanding males, many of their cria are
champions. In fact our own lovely white female, Q'orianka is among these champions, winning Color Champion at the 2007 North American Alpaca Show, a Level V show, at just 6 months old.
Tiago Primo, a new addition to our stud row, has never been in the show ring himself. But his cria are no strangers to the winner's circle. We are excited about the continued success we and our clients will see from this terrific herdsire.
