HaSu Chenoa is full Peruvian and has excellent lines especially for those interested in superior fibered alpacas. Her pedigree includes bloodlines world renowned for their fiber genetics--Hemingway, Don Julio and Peruvian K-2. Both Chenoa's dam and sire consistently produce beautiful crias. Chenoa's dam is out of the legendary Peruvian Hemingway, sire of more award-winning cria than any sire in the U.S. Her sire, K-2, described by Mike Safley as having the ideal fleece, has a long list of award-winning progeny. Chenoa's maternal grandsire is none other than the famous Allianza herdsire, Peruvian Don Julio. Can the lineage get any better? Chenoa's dam, Serafina is what we call a stud hembra with excellent fleece and correct conformation, who consistently throws beautiful cria. Chenoa is the largest cria we have on the farm, and at 9 months, she towers over others that are 6 months older. But even with her large frame she has style and grace and perfect proportions. She's the picture of what we breed for at HaSu-- large alpacas covered with wonderful fleece---the thought being, the larger they are the more fleece we'll get. Chenoa's fleece is uniform from head to toe and is exceptionally bright with a high frequency crimp down to the skin. She is fine and dense as well.
Chenoa is bred to the incomparable Aga Khan, white color champion many, many times over, She is due to deliver, spring of 2008.
